Why aren't calories listed on the recipes?Updated 4 months ago

At this time, we are not listing calories for our recipes.

As a company, we’re not big advocates of calorie counting: the more we’ve learnt about it, the more we feel that it holds relatively little weight as a generic approach to looking at what we eat and our health. We’ve spoken about this quite a lot on the podcast - the Diet Myth with Tim Spector is especially interesting on this subject. We’re also aware that counting calories can be quite triggering for any readers who may suffer from disordered eating and we want to ensure we protect against that.

We do provide nutritional labelling on the recipes (which are all plant-based and use whole food ingredients) such as ‘source of protein / fibre / anti-oxidants, calcium etc. to help people make more informed decisions on what they eat.
